Sonatype Brings Java .Net Projects into the Central Repository

It's natural for open source projects to build upon the work done by other open source projects. Sonatype is facilitating the availability of components from Java.net's large open source project base, by bringing Java.net project artifacts into the Central Repository, a leading source for open source Java components. Sonatype's Nexus Maven service was made available to Java.net projects in May. All Java.net projects, regardless of size, have access to the new Maven service. The benefit for the global Java open source community is that Java.net project owners can now automate and control synchronization of their Java.net project assets more easily to deliver applications faster, at a higher quality, and with less risk.
"Developers now have access to Java.net components directly from the Central Repository, requiring no debugging or additional configurations," says Jason van Zyl, Sonatype founder and CTO.
