Bill Smith Vice President North America Sales

As North American VP of Sales, Bill brings over 20 years of sales experience building high performance sales teams in both the commercial and public sector. Most recently, Bill was Sr Director of Sales for the Americas at Syncsort, running the data integration sales organization. Prior to Syncsort Bill held the role of Business Unit Executive at IBM managing the Information Management software sales team for the East. In addition Bill was part of the sales leadership team at Ascential Software that was sold successfully to IBM in 2006. Bill also contributed to the in the early stage growth at MicroStrategy. Bill holds a B.A. in Marketing and Advertising from Purdue University.

Jeff Deal

Jeff Deal Vice President Federal Sales

Jeff Deal brings more than 20 years of executive leadership and sales experience to Sonatype as VP of Government Sales. In this role, Jeff will leverage his extensive background in the federal industry to lead sales efforts and leadership in the government sector. Jeff spent more than a decade growing Juniper Network's Intelligence and Civilian verticals into sustaining lines of business. While at Juniper, he was recognized for capturing the largest services win, followed by the largest enterprise program win in company history. Under Jeff's guidance, Juniper's Intelligence business grew to more than half of the federal business at Juniper. Prior to Juniper, Jeff established the Intelligence business vertical at Foundry Networks. Jeff's background also includes an engineering and sales background at and more than ten years of military experience where he served as a member of the Intelligence Community. Jeff holds a B.A. in Electronics from Chapman University.

Wai Man Yau

Wai Man Yau Vice President International Sales

As Vice President of International Sales, Wai Man is responsible for driving the company's international sales strategy and expansion into new markets. With 20 years of international sales and sales leadership experience, Wai Man has been building high performance teams and strategies that grow revenue at early stage companies and large complex organizations. Wai Man was most recently Sales director for HP Storage where he was responsible for driving sales of HP's entire storage portfolio across the EMEA region. Prior to HP, Wai Man was Regional Sales Director at 3PAR where he focused on the rapid growth of customers, channel partners and strategic service providers. In addition Wai Man spent 8 years at EMC, most recently in global sales leadership.
